We are celebratingon Wednesday evening, October 29, with a huge festival, starting at 5 pm with chili, hot dogs, and ice cream – no charge! During and after dinner, groups and families will go on a Great Escape scavenger hunt with treats for those who survive and make it to freedom. We will close out the evening in the sanctuary with a disappearing act you don’t want to miss!

The Care & Share Ministry provides meals for families in our church that are going through a crisis and are not involved in a Sunday School class or small group.
Christ United Methodist Church is very blessed to have an active and energetic Young Adults Ministry. This ministry is geared towards 18-35 year olds.
The Ladies Supper Club will be meeting Tuesday, November 4th at 6:00 p.m. at Abuelos at Hamilton Place.
Room In The Inn is a local shelter for women and their children who are in need of short-term food and lodging. Christ Church provides the evening meal 2 times a month.
Openings are available in the donut cutting and coffee ministries. Donut ministry involves cutting and setting out donuts for two services; requires 1-2 hours about once per quarter.
Baked Blessings, a ministry of Christ Church, is an opportunity for individuals or families to bake cookies or brownies for people who are homeless.
iStudy: Basic Bible Study for Christians by Rev. Mark Flynn is a daily devotional using key passages from the Bible. You will decide how much time you can devote to this study.
When we invite someone to worship, it is good to have something to give them with our address and other information about the church. We have new cards at the Information desks for this. Please stop by, pick up a few cards, and write a note on the back when you give a card to those you invite.
Christ Church’s information desks are an entry point for visitors and assist members in learning more about church offerings and schedules.

Our first week of Sack Packs was a success. A fast-moving team of 27 volunteers packed all 335 sacks in less than an hour. The sack packs were delivered to Calvin Donaldson School the following day, where they were distributed to children who are at risk of hunger during weekends.

In 2012, two teams began providing a monthly meal to the residents of Partnership’s Family Violence Crisis Center. The Center accepts families in crisis at any time help is needed.

Inviting others to worship and other activities at Christ Church is easy, but it is also a very, very important thing for all of us to do.
Our mission is to learn how to grow healthy fruits and vegetables, and give them to people who are in need of them.
Our Pantry Pile-Up item for October is individually wrapped candy. These items will go to the Bethlehem Center’s Halloween party.
Giving to the Building Fund is exceeding our pledges! If you continue to give at this level, we can totally pay off our building debt in just over ten years at projected interest rates. This is our plan, so please continue to give as you are now giving. If you have not yet started giving to the Building Fund, please do so. We have created a blog to help keep everyone up to date on the progress of Grace Home, the orphanage being built in the South Sudan.
