Your Disaster Rebuilding Ministry is on the move again. We are traveling to the North Carolina coast to support rebuilding efforts from Hurricane Irene (August 2011) and two recent tornados (EF3) April 25th and May 17.

In 2012, two teams began providing a monthly meal to the residents of Partnership’s Family Violence Crisis Center. The Center accepts families in crisis at any time help is needed.
Kim Davis, a certified teacher for TCA, will lead this class on Thursday evenings beginning September 11, 6:00-7:00, in the Trinity-Woodmore Chapel.
On Thursday, July 10th Christ Church had the privilege of hosting Mandela Wani Michael from South Sudan in the Youth Center. Mandela was a child solider who fought against the forces of North Sudan.

I am proud to be writing this article as I reflect on the past 3+ months and how we all had the chance to meet new people, make new friends, learn that YES YOU CAN run a 5K, and grew closer to Our Lord Jesus Christ in the process.

We are delighted to announce that meals from your meal packaging event have been shipped in a container with 270,864 meals and other supplies from our Atlanta warehouse.
Our mission is to learn how to grow healthy fruits and vegetables, and give them to people who are in need of them.
Our Pantry Pile-Up item for August is baby wipes, diapers, and pull ups (size 4 and up). These items will go to Partnership’s domestic violence shelter.
Giving to the Building Fund is exceeding our pledges! If you continue to give at this level, we can totally pay off our building debt in just over ten years at projected interest rates. This is our plan, so please continue to give as you are now giving. If you have not yet started giving to the Building Fund, please do so. Additional prayer resources are now available from the church website. They include guides to books, as well as online and audio tools for prayer.
Room In The Inn is a local shelter for women and their children who are in need of short-term food and lodging. Christ Church provides the evening meal 2 times a month.
Openings are available in the donut cutting and coffee ministries. Donut ministry involves cutting and setting out donuts for two services; requires 1-2 hours about once per quarter.
Baked Blessings, a ministry of Christ Church, is an opportunity for individuals or families to bake cookies or brownies for people who are homeless.
iStudy: Basic Bible Study for Christians by Rev. Mark Flynn is a daily devotional using key passages from the Bible. You will decide how much time you can devote to this study.
One in four children in our area struggles with hunger. These children count on meals served at school to meet their nutritional needs in order to support growth and learning. During weekends and school breaks, hunger issues rise.
You can join any Sunday you like!

The Salt & Light Youth Choir returned Sunday, June 22nd from their mission work in Marsh Harbour, Bahamas.

This year our high school youth (Grades 9-12) are going to Lake Junaluska, NC for their annual mission trip.
Inviting others to worship and other activities at Christ Church is easy, but it is also a very, very important thing for all of us to do.
The Care & Share Ministry provides meals for families in our church that are going through a crisis and are not involved in a Sunday School class or small group.
Christ United Methodist Church is very blessed to have an active and energetic Young Adults Ministry. This ministry is geared towards 18-35 year olds.
The Ladies Supper Club will be meeting Tuesday, September 2nd at 6:00 p.m. at Shogun on Gunbarrel Rd.

We have created a blog to help keep everyone up to date on the progress of Grace Home, the orphanage being built in the South Sudan.
