The Salt & Light Youth Choir will be having a special sale on Friday, July 30th, from 9 am – 6 pm, and Saturday, July 31st from 9 am – 2 pm at Christ UMC in the Atrium.

This Sunday morning, August 1st, there will be a survey inserted in the bulletin to get input from the congregation concerning involvement in  mission opportunities.  We need to  hear from you  on how your talents and passion can best be utilized to serve others.

"Where Is Your Journey Taking You?” – On August 21, the Adult Ministries of the Holston Conference will be hosting the first Adult Ministries event at the North Campus of the Cokesbury United Methodist Church in Knoxville, 9:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Recovery Support Group meets each Tuesday night, 7-8:30 p.m., in Room A-11. Beginning Tuesday, July 6, they are beginning a new study of The Shack by William Paul Young. If anyone is interested or needs a copy of the book, please call Al Ezzell at 892-0630. 

This June our high school youth choir, Salt & Light, traveled to Marsh Harbor, Abaco Island in the Bahamas.  For five days the youth hosted a VBS for local children, leading over 50 kids each day through crafts, games, music and Bible lessons.

“United Methodism 101” (UM101) is a free, basic online course designed for new United Methodists and anyone wanting to know more about the denomination, as well as long-time United Methodists who would like to check their basic knowledge of the church.  Click here for more information and/or to sign up for this on this online course.

Thank you for your generous donation for the Blessing of the Backpacks. We received 81 backpacks and hundreds of supplies to support our inner city schools. We appreciate Regennia Martin for organizing this event.

Prayer Shawl Ministry is a way to share the gift of knitting or crocheting with those who are in need of comforting. The group meets the third Thursday of the month in the Adult Building, A-2.  For more information, contact Linda Anderson at 892-4323.
