We have created a blog to help keep everyone up to date on the progress of Grace Home, the orphanage being built in the South Sudan.

We are participating in the 2013 Holston Annual Conference Hands-On Mission Project – Chattanooga District.  We will be collecting items for food buckets to be sent to Liberia and Zimbabwe.  

Christ Church has an active Disaster Rebuilding Ministry where teams from our church travel to help rebuild homes and lives of those who are dealing with the loss or damage to their home.  Our church will be sending a team to the Tuscaloosa, AL community May 22^nd-25th to help in the rebuilding effort in that community. 

Americans are notorious for their fandom – of music, movies, television shows, hobbies, celebrities, and especially sports … it seems that everyone is a fan of something.  Many throughout the world are fans of Jesus Christ.

As you are aware, the orphanage in South Sudan is well underway and going to drastically change the lives of many helpless children. Although the building itself will provide shelter for the children, it does not guarantee food, clean water, clothing, education or medical care.

Registration for the 2013-2014 school year will be the week of February 11, 2013.  We will begin accepting registration forms for the 2013-14 school year on Monday, February 11th, at 8:00 a.m. for currently enrolled preschool families.

How did we ever function without our new building addition?  The new Youth Center is rocking!  The Commons lets us have two different worship services both at 9:30 and at 11, and it provides a great place for Wednesday meals and other gatherings.  Every one of our new classrooms is being used by classes and small groups.
