The Sunday before Thanksgiving XUnitedYouth, our middle and high school students, went out in the community with one guiding force: HUNGER! The hunger that guided them was not their own, but the hunger that many have on Thanksgiving because they cannot afford their own meals.

The Interfaith Homeless Network Camp Out To Stamp Out Family Homelessness was a big success.  With over 40 congregations represented from the Chattanooga area, CUMC had 17 youth there to help raise awareness for the growing problem of family homelessness.

Christ Church requires that all students have an active medical form on file for all youth events.  This form is for emergency situations, and authorizes hospitals to give medical treatment without the presence of a parent or guardian.  Please fill out this form completely and have it notarized.  We do not require a new form for each event; one will suffice for a whole school year.  If your information has changed or you do not have a form on file for your student, please click here to download one.  Turn in the completed form to the appropriate youth director.

Christ Church requires that junior and senior high students fill out a Parent-Student Covenant for every over-night youth trip.  The covenant outlines the basic expectations, rules and responsibilities every student must know before participating in a Christ Church trip.  As a requirement for a youth trip, students, along with a parent/guardian, must read and initial each expectation on the covenant and turn it in prior to the youth trip.  A new covenant is necessary for every over night trip.  You can download a covenant by clicking here.
