More about our Worship Service

God created us to be wonderfully unique individuals. Each of us must find our own path and unique way of worshiping the Creator. However, ironically, we only discover the fullness of our unique voice when we join in harmony with others in praising God. That is why, at Christ UMC, we offer a variety of worship styles each Sunday morning. Our goal is to help each person grow in their relationship with God and in real community with their brothers and sisters. That is why it doesn’t matter what you wear – what matters is that we glorify God together. 

You will be able to find enthusiastic, scripturally-based teaching at all four services, but make sure you select the style of worship that most enables you to open your mind and heart to God’s presence. 

9:30 a.m. Gospel Service

9:30 a.m. Contemporary Service
For those who enjoy contemporary Christian music, our Praise Team is blessed with a great band and hearts that long to celebrate God’s goodness in song.  To get a feel of this service's music style, click the image below.

11:00 a.m. Traditional Service
Drawing on the best of the grand liturgical traditions in the Church, our full-voiced Chancel Choir leads this service where the style is traditional (but relaxed) and the gospel is relevant today.  To get a feel of this service's music style, click the image below. 
 

11:00 a.m. Contemporary Rock Service
For the latest in contemporary music in a more relaxed worship setting, led by a great band with a passion for praise and worship, this is a service you don't want to miss. Children's Worship Services are offered during morning services.

 Christ Town 3,4,5 year olds
 All children who are 3 (by 9/30/11),4,5 (not in Kindergarten) are invited to attend Christ Town Worship. This time is for children to experience and participate in praise and worship music and dance. Children will divide into age groups to look further into Bible memory verses, and fun age level games reinforcing the day's story.  Children are checked in and out inside the Children’s Building.

JAM (Jesus and Me) is the continuation of Children's Worship for Kindergarten - 2nd Grade. This is a multi-media interactive program of music, memorable Bible learning, engaging activities, prayer time, and Huddle groups. The children will be checked in and out in the Gym.

Bible Thrills 3rd Grade
Bible Skills, Drills, and Thrills offers a unique mix of fun activities that keep children moving and provides hands-on ideas for guiding them to learn and apply Scripture to life. 3rd graders will learn the books of the Bible, Bible verses, key passages, divisions, and life application.

Grapple is a program designed for older elementary children in the 4th and 5th grades. Grapple students get to wrestle with big questions from the Bible, such as “Who made God?” Students get to watch an interactive DVD each week and are challenged by teachers to answer big questions. Each student also gets exclusive access to mygrapple.com for more games and challenges throughout the week.
 
Nursery, for infants through toddlers, is available for all services.
